Obituary for Erma W. Herr Erma W. Herr, 92, of Palmyra, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Londonderry Village. She was the wife of the late, Irvin E. Herr who passed away in 1988. Erma was born in Ono on November 15, 1925 to the late Clarence W. and Jennie (Bohn) Wentling.

Erma was a Jonestown High School graduate. She had worked at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation sewing discharge patches on service members uniforms. She was a candy wrapper at The Hershey Chocolate Company for 39 years.

Erma was a member of Ono United Methodist Church, where she was a third grade Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Ono Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Erma enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Irvin, having traveled to six countries and went on various mission trips with The Billy Graham Association.

She also enjoyed shopping and collecting teddy bears. A great enjoyment in Erma’s life was taking care of her nieces and nephews. Surviving are her brothers, Paul W. Wentling of Fredericksburg, George W. Wentling of Lititz, and 20 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene, Howard, Russell, Edna Barr, and Margaret Miller. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 11AM from Ono United Methodist Church, 9 Main Street, Ono. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.
