Obituary for Donald R. Lyter Donald R. Lyter, 80, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. Shaak Lyter. On October 22nd, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Born in Lebanon on October 9, 1938, he was the son of the late John R. and Anna Mae Albert Lyter. He retired as an Operating Engineer from the Local 542-Philadelphia. He was a member of the NRA and was an avid Penn State football and NASCAR fan.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, trap shooting, hunting, fishing and especially going to the cabin with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Donald R. Lyter, Jr. of W. Lebanon, Steve D. Lyter of Cornwall and Robert J. husband of Holly Lyter of Mt. Gretna; his daughter Debra A. wife of David Patches of Annville; brother Eugene A. Lyter of W. Lebanon; grandchildren Breanna, Taylor, Anna Rose and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his son John R. Lyter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd.

, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Grantville.
