OBITUARY Mary Jean Churney February 3, 1924 – September 22, 2018 Mary Jean Churney, 94 of Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Washington Health System Greene in Waynesburg. She was born February 13, 1924 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Ray and Sylvia Rex Clark, and was a life-long resident of Waynesburg. Her husband, Albert J. Churney, passed away August 10, 1996.

Mrs. Churney was member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg, where she had taught catechism. She enjoyed outdoor activities and gardening. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Rush of Waynesburg; a son Albert J. Churney Jr. and his wife Janet, of Sycamore; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Churney of Waynesburg; seven grandsons, Rich Rush (Chris), Tom Churney (Laine), Daniel Rush (Melinda), Tim Churney (Chris), Jeff Rush (Jenny), Nick Churney, and Eric Churney (Kate); 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Rice of Westerville, OH; and two brothers, Robert Clark of Sun City, AZ; and George Clark of Byron, GA.

Deceased are a son, Michael John Churney, a grandson, Michael Churney, three brothers, Chuck, John, and Jerry Clark; and two sisters, JoAnn Jacobs and Peggy Clark. Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 W. High St., Waynesburg, where a blessing service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with Deacon Tom Raymond officiating, followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Waynesburg.
