Funeral services for Mary Louise Dickson, 81, of Brazoria will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount. Zion Church in Brazoria with Prophet Arnold C. Dickson eulogist and Pastor Anthony Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.

She passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at her residence. She was a member of Last Call Ministries. She graduated from Carver High School with the Class of 1955 and furthered her education at Prairie View A&M College where she received her Master’s Degree in Education.

She started her teaching career at Henry O. Tanner. She also taught at Brazoria Elementary and Bay City ISD where she retired. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Texas Delta XI and Brazoria County Retired Teachers Association and former member of Coastal Funeral Director’s and Mortician Association.

She worked at Dixon Funeral Home as a Funeral Assistant. She enjoyed traveling and learning the world, going out to eat, gardening especially working in her flower beds, writing in her journal, spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Dickson, Jr.; parents, Charlie Johnson, Jr. and Louisiana Johnson and brother-in-law, Robert Dixon.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving son, Prophet Arnold C. Dickson (Naomi), Brazoria; grandchildren, Albert Dickson and Stacie Dickson both of Brazoria and Chris Dickson (Mariah), Rosharon; great grandchild, Treymane Dickson, Rosharon; sister-in-law, Audrey Dixon, Brazoria; uncle, Horace Jerry Wright, Houston; aunt, Laura Brown, Houston; good friend, Evelyn Joyce Roberts, Brazoria, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Active pallbearers will be Chris Lovelace, Richard Wright, Sr., Richard Wright, Jr., Leonard Wright, Brandon Dixon and Lesley Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Wright, Stevie Franklin, Shedrick Helms, Albert Dickson, Chris Dickson, Treymane Dickson, Tommie M. Williams, Cory Williams, Roland McCormick and Johnny Wright.

Visitation will be Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. Final arrangements entrusted to Dixon Funeral Home of Brazoria at (979) 798-9113. .
