Mary Louise Shirley Blackwell, age 80 of Lewisburg died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Lincoln Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville. Mrs. Blackwell was a native of Marshall County, and she was the daughter of the late Lucille Shirley Vestal. She was a homemaker and member of the Bethberei Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Blackwell, daughter, Patricia Blackwell, and brother, James Vestal. She is survived by five daughters, Brenda (Richard) Dillon of Petersburg, Dorothy Blackwell of Lewisburg, Connie (Ray) Beever of Farmington, Billie (Lyle) Broeder of Lewisburg, and Sharon (Robert) Rychel of Fayetteville, four sisters, Fannie Adams of Lewisburg, Nancy (Tony) Crowder of Lewisburg, Kathy Ingram of Chapel Hill, and Betty (Craig) Blackwood of Chapel Hill, two brothers, Jimmy Shirley and Billy Vestal both of Lewisburg, ten grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Temple cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday until the funeral hour.
