Billy Ray Townsend, age 61 of Lewisburg, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Maury Regional Medical Center. Ray was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee born July 10, 1956 son of William Edward and Mildred Lee Adams Townsend. He was a graduate of Jones High School class of 1974 in Lynnville.

He was retired from Sanford Corporation. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his life partner of 37 years, Donna Leverette of Lewisburg, step-son, Jonathan (Holly) Leverette of Lewisburg, two grandchildren, Taylor and Abby Leverette, two sisters, Levada Townsend Lee of Lewisburg, and Janice Townsend Kincaid-Ray of Lynnville, and brother, Layne Townsend of Lynnville. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
