Amos Melvin Thompson, age 90 of Lewisburg died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his home. Mr. Thompson was a native of Marshall County, and he was the son of the late Olan Buford and Maggie Belle Smith Thompson. He was a retired truck driver from Lewisburg Transfer Company and Brown Trucking in Nashville, and he was a member of the Wilson Hill Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edwina Smith Thompson, two sons, Tommy Thompson and Joey Thompson, and brother, Neman Thompson. He is survived by his son, Barry (Monica) Thompson of Lewisburg, sister, Becky Thompson Middlebrooks of Bessemer, AL, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mars Hill cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home for visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday until the funeral hour.
