Mrs. Linda Hinds Orr, age 82, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at NHC Lewisburg. Mrs. Orr was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late Carl Edward and Lettie Connelly Hinds. She was a 1954 graduate of MCHS and later attended Peabody.

She was an artist, and was a secretary for Lewisburg First United Methodist Church and Faber Castell. She was a member of the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wayne Orr Sr. in 1983, and two brothers, John E. Hinds and Carl “Buddy” E. Hinds Jr

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lynn Berlin of Mooresville, and Emily Orr Warf, of Pulaski, TN, two sons, James Wayne Orr Jr. of Berea, KY, and David Carl Orr of Lewisburg, one sister, Amelia Jernigan of Murfreesboro, and two brothers, Connelly Hinds of Lewisburg, William “Bill” Hinds of Brentwood, TN. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Bryant Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 pm from the chapel of London Funeral Home and will continue on Friday until shortly before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, or the Bear Creek Church Restoration Fund London Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
