Minnie Gunnel, age 87 of Lewisburg died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Maury Regional Hospital. Mrs. Gunnel was a native of Maury County, and she was the daughter of the late Clarence Elijah and Era Mae Pratt Clegg. She was a retired group leader from Cosmolab and was a member of the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bedford Gunnel, son, Ricky Gunnel, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by, one daughter, Nancy (Glenn) Bardwell of Blytheville, Arkansas, two grandchildren that she raised following their father’s death, Jocy (Jeremy Hazel) Gunnel of Lewisburg and Curtis (Stephanie) Gunnel of Shelbyville, and grandson, Chris (Chrishena) Campbell of Montgomery, TX, step son, Steve Gunnel of Spring Hill, and seven great grandchildren including her great granddaughter Alexus who helped with her care. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Short cemetery.
