Obituary of Mary-Louise Brown Mary-Louise Brown (Manson) passed away suddenly Sunday, February 3rd in Corning, NY. She was 89. Mary-lou was born November 29, 1929 in Mansfield, MA to Alexander and Ruth Manson (Benson).

She married Samuel Brown in 1948 and they celebrated their 70th anniversary on April 30, 2018. He preceded her to heaven just two months later. Mary-lou and Sam started Brown’s Oil Service where she performed all the office duties.

She also was an amazing homemaker and loving mother of their five children. In her early twenties, both she and Sam became strong believers and worked tirelessly for their Lord and His church. She took employment at the Foxboro Company until 1970 when they sold the business and the family moved to the Newfield, ME and Effingham, NH area.

There she worked at Vulcan Electric, rising to the position of a divisional credit manager for ITT, all while taking college night courses. She later held numerous positions in other companies before starting her own consulting business. She was also was a town selectman.

More importantly, she used her business and musical skills working with Sam as he pastored struggling and reopened churches. In retirement, she maintained a ministry in any church they attended. Mary-lou was an athlete in her youth and a gifted musician her whole life, singing, playing the piano, and composing songs.

She passed these gifts to all five of her children and cherished to hearing her children, grand children and great grandchildren sing or play their instruments. Another great pleasure was being able to walk and enjoy God’s creation and handiwork. She loved to knit and sew and was very accomplished at both.

Mary-lou is survived by her 5 children; Laurel Fasulo (Bill) of Weeki Wachee FL, Rev. Gary Brown (Donna) of Corning NY, Roger Brown (Linda) of Rossville GA, Wayne Brown (Gina) of Uxbridge MA and Carol Vance (Bob) of Chesapeake VA; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Mrs. Helen Ramsey of Tampa FL and Mrs. Theodora Souza of Attleboro, MA.

Mary-lou was preceded in death by her brother Alexander and sisters Blanche, Caroline and Dorothy. A memorial service will be held on April 27 at 11 am at Grace Fellowship, 129 Cutler Ave. , Corning, NY 14830.
