OBITUARY Mary M Copeland October 21, 1923 – July 3, 2018 Mary M . Copeland, age 94, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Kokomo, passed away peacefully on July 3rd in her own home. Mary was the daughter of Edgar and Hulda Roderick Montgomery and she was born in Lucerne, Indiana.

She married Robert B. Copeland on July 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1997. Mary retired as office manager of Sunset Memory Gardens after 22 years of service. Mary and her late husband, Robert, co-owned and operated, Coons Greenhouse for 23 years.

Mary loved her family very much and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Copeland; son, James Copeland in 2003, two brothers and one sister. Surviving is her son, Daniel and his wife Marilyn Copeland, of Fort Wayne.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Mary’s funeral service will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Ellers Mortuary Main Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.

There will be a time of visitation for friends from 11:30 am until the time of service, on Wednesday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne or Bethany United Methodist Church on Sunny Lane in Fort Wayne, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
