Mary “Pat” Bowser, a former resident of Grove City, PA passed away on, July 23, 2018, following an extended illness. She was residing in Fuquay-Varina, NC at the time of her death. Mary was born in Grove City on April 5, 1928 to Isaac M. Steele and Berta M. (Sloan, Steele) Kauffman.

Mary married Thomas C. Bowser on 16 Apr 1949. Mary worked during World War II at P. Wall Manufacturing Company. She was then a homemaker who raised her children.

Finally, she worked and retired from Grove City College in the food service and housekeeping departments. Mary had been a member of the First Church of God in Grove City and then had attended the West Unity Community Church in Harrisville. While living in North Carolina she worshipped and was supported by the congregation of the Shadow Ridge Baptist Church in Holly Springs.

Survivors include two children: Cindy L. Elmore and husband, John, Helotes, Texas, and Richard T. Bowser and wife, Marta, Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina: two grandchildren: Michael T. Bowser and wife, Justine and Kathryn A. Bowser of North Carolina; a sister, Leona Buchanan, Grove City and a brother, Oscar Kauffman and wife, Gloria, Grove City. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters; Shirley Miller and Alice Montgomery; five brothers, Clarence, Edward, William, Howard and Arthur Steele. BOWSER Mrs. Thomas C.
