Mary Ruth Anderson Brazell, 86, of Columbia, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Born February 18, 1932 in Batesburg-Leesville, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel Doc Anderson and Geneva Sons Anderson. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, who loved to talk about Jesus.

She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and loved her Savior. Survivors include her children, Edna Terry (the late Paul), Thomas Brazell (Patty), Donald Brazell (Dale), Debbie Mayo (Melvin), Patricia Allen (Stanley) and Tammy Brazell; grandchildren, Russell (Becky) and Michael Terry, Toni Jo Simpson (Jamie), Chris Adkins (Paulette), Joseph and Lee Ann Parker, Tabatha Lever (Doug), Timothy Brazell (Laura), and Joey and Jason Allen; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Rikard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Thomas “Buddy” Brazell; and a sister, Nora Lee Harmon.

A funeral service for Mrs. Brazell, will be held 2 o’clock, Wednesday, February 6th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Interment will follow at Lexington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock in the evening Tuesday at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel.
