Mary Ruth Head Mary Ruth Head, 89, of Browning, Missouri, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan. The daughter of James L. and Nilene (Bookout) Fanning, she was born September 5, 1929 in Green City, Missouri. In 1948 she married Charles Edward Frazier and to this marriage her three children were born.

Mr. Frazier preceded her in death in 1960 and in 1974 she married Eldon Head and he preceded her in death in 2013. Also preceding her were her parents; one brother, James Fanning, Jr. and one sister, Doris Jean Cruz. Her survivors include two sons, Terry Frazier and wife Sharon of Osborn, Missouri and Charles Frazier and wife Kathy of Elgin, Illinois; one daughter Kathy Helms and husband Jack of Milan; six grandchildren, Jeffery Frazier, Tracie (Chris) Mason, Jamie (Paul) Marrione, Lisa (Mike) Glienna, Holly (Anthony) Osifalujo, and Kelly (Gene) Fanning; ten great grandchildren, Tyler Ann Frazier, Joshua Frazier, Colby Frazier, Eli Frazier, Caleb Mason, Luke Mason, Rachel Mason, John Marrione, Joe Marrione, and Roxanne Osifalujo; one great great grandson, Jace Mason; one sister, Beverly Roskilly of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ruth grew up in Green City and had lived in Milan before moving to Kansas City and later to the Chicago area. In 1994 they returned to Browning. She had worked for several years as a bookkeeper for Charles Rice Lumber Company and also served as township tax collector for several terms.

Mary was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Browning. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and PEO Chapter V of Browning. Mary Ruth enjoyed sewing and spending time with friends and family.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Browning. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, Missouri. Visitation is scheduled for one hour before services at the church.

Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan is in charge of arrangements. Contributions are suggested in her memory to the Browning First Baptist Church or Oakwood Cemetery.
