Mary Alberta McDonald, 76, of Humphreys, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. Mary was born April 13, 1942, to George and Viola (Sinclair) Eddy, in Milan, Missouri. On February 13, 1958, in Princeton, Missouri, she married Francis Richard McDonald, and to this marriage five children were born; Richard McDonald and wife Carol of Humphreys, Mo, Frank McDonald and wife Cindy of Humphreys, Mo, David McDonald and wife Cathy of Milan, Mo, Mary Randall of Milan, and Wendy Hines and husband John of Humphreys, Mo.

Other survivors include eleven grandchildren; Raymond McDonald, Richard McDonald, April Brown, William McDonald, David McDonald Jr., Billy Joe McDonald, Nathan McDonald, Jeremiah Randall, Kyle Randall, Jonathan Hines and Veronica Hines; forty-three great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren, three sisters; Betty Kennedy of Kirksville, Mo, Etta Mosele of Milan, Mo, and Mable Riddle of Humphreys, Mo, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers; Billy Eddy, George Eddy, David Eddy, Jimmy Eddy, sister; Letta Courtney, three grandchildren; Jennifer McDonald, Charletta McDonald and Jeffrey Randall. Mary grew up and lived most of her life in Sullivan County.

She worked for Con Agra and in-home health care for a few years, but spent most of her time as a mother and housewife. She liked jigsaw puzzles, listening to the radio and watching old movies, especially Gunsmoke. She was baptized in the Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM, at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, Mo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, north of Milan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mary’s name to Elmwood Cemetery.
