Mary Sue Plumley Greene, age 91, of Travelers Rest, SC passed from this earth on May 5, 2019. She was the widow of Ross L. Greene, her loving husband of 59 years. Sue was the fourth child of the late Claude and Jannie Plumley and was predeceased by her older siblings, Audrey Plumley Jackson, Ruby Plumley Eaker, and Brooks Plumley.

She leaves behind her younger sister, Snowie Plumley House of Taylors. Family was important to Sue. She will be missed by her son, Ross Greene and wife, Karen of Travelers Rest; granddaughter, Tara Greene Glandon and husband, David of Travelers Rest; and granddaughter, Savannah Greene Tonnsen and husband, Ryan of Greer.

Her five young great-grandchildren, Henry and Elizabeth Glandon and William, James, and Charles Tonnsen, brought great joy to her last years. Sue loved Jesus and reading her Bible. She was a lifelong Southern Baptist – a charter member of Edwards Road Baptist, a longtime member of Tigerville Baptist, and most recently a member of Mt.

Pleasant Baptist. She retired after faithfully serving as the office manager of Look-Up Lodge Christian Camp for 20 years. Farm life provided the perfect canvas for her love of flowers and gardening.

She was happiest when she could spend time outside in her flower beds. She shared this hobby with a special neighbor, Linda Horne, who spent many hours with her. Memorials may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 499 Highway 912, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
