Matthew K. Kearney 85, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on March 21, 2019. He was born on April 3, 1933 to the late Patrick and Agnes (nee Dunne) Kearney in Co. Cavan, Ireland. Matthew proudly served in the US Army in the late 1950’s.

He was a retired Refrigeration Engineer with Macy’s Dept. Store in Bronx, N.Y. Matthew was predeceased by his devoted wife, Mary (nee Smyth) Kearney in 2003 and also predeceased by six brothers. He is survived by his loving daughters, Ann (Randy) Koller of Valhalla, N.Y., Eileen (Ira) Westler of Scarsdale, N.Y., Rosaleen (Harry) Poloso of Penn Hills, PA and Monica (Paul) Nolan of Valhalla, N.Y. one brother, Patsy (Peggy) Kearney of Co. Cork, Ireland.

Also survived by his eight cherished grandchildren, Matthew, James, Michael, Kevin, Joseph, Benjamin, Kiera, John and two great grandchildren, Marinka and Mayanna. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 6-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM.

Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. HAWTHORNE FUNERAL HOME 21 West Stevens Ave.
