Obituary for Maudie Cook Stevens Mrs. Maude Cook Stevens, age 92, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Friday (February 1, 2019) at Maple Grove Healthcare Center in Lebanon, Virginia. Born February 2, 1926 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Morgan and Nannie Street Cook. In her spare time, she enjoyed canning and drawing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Clinton Delmer Stevens, Vernon Wayne Stevens, Ronald Darrell Stevens and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two children, Catherine Henderson and husband, Buster of Mechanicsville, Maryland and Allen Stevens of Honaker, Virginia; grandchildren, Cathryn Henderson, Eddie Henderson, Bryan Henderson, Mary Stevens, Virginia Stevens, Joann Stevens, John Stevens, Sherry Stevens, Tammy Stevens, Tina Stevens and Rebecca Stevens; special friend, Edith Rose and several special nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Kissito Maple Grove Heatlthcare.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Claude Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon, Virginia.
