Obituary for Maureen Rutter MAUREEN RUTTER affectionately known as “Reenie or Mo”, passed away on November 25, 2018 in Pennsylvania Hospital. Born and raised in Philadelphia and attended John H. Taggart Elementary School and Furness High School. Reenie will be remembered as a good person who had a heart of gold, a keen sense of humor and enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved watching criminal tv shows. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Shannon (Carl Haas) McGovern and the late John McGovern III; loving Grandmom of Liam and Johnny; dearest companion of John McGovern Jr.; sister of Charles (Margaret) Rutter, Edward Hunt and the late Kevin Hunt; daughter-in-law of Martha (James) Wilson. Maureen is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her gather Friday morning beginning 9am at the Murphy Ruffenach, Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home (3rd & Wolf Streets). Funeral Home Service 10:30am. Burial private.
