MAUREEN “VALENTINE” MOODY, age 71, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughters on April 26, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Queen of the Valley hospital in Napa, CA after a courageous battle with health complications. She was born on October 29, 1947 in Staten Island, NY to Anna and Maurice Valentine. She attended Port Richmond High School and worked for the South Beach Psychiatric Center in Staten Island, NY.

She later moved to California, remarried to Donald E. Moody, managed a Housing Complex and then later retired. Maureen was an independent woman who loved and always put her family first. She enjoyed old school music, golfing, bowling, fishing, football, baseball, playing bingo, crafting and being there for family and friends.

Maureen is survived by three siblings Paula Spicer, Ayana and brother Raymond; daughters Jeanine and Jennifer Taylor; grandchild Sydney Anna Mills; son/nephew Kevin L. Valentine; nieces and nephews Christopher, Maurice, Gregory, Lynette, Steven, Raymond Maurice Jr., Rayna, Raymond Lawrence and Anaya; a number of great Niece’s and nephews and one great-great nieces. Maureen was preceded in death by husband Donald E. Moody, parents Maurice and Anna Valentine, brothers Maurice Jr., Gregory, Kevin and a host of other relatives and friends who she loved. Maureen will be remembered as a great wife, mother, grandmother and missed by all that new her.

Her memory will always be cherished in our hearts.
