Max G. Fernandez passed away; went home to be with his late wife Peggy M. Fernandez and Our Heavenly Father. He was surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the time of his passing at their home in Rio Rancho. Mr. Fernandez was 92 years of age, he was a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM.

Max G. Fernandez is survived by his grandchildren Jovannah(Andrew), Alexandra(Kenneth), Thomas and Amari great grandchildren Xavier, Penélope and Simone, sons Robin, Gilbert(Joanne), John stepchildren Crystal(Tom) and Jonathon, sister Viola, brother Herbert(Ida), sister Jenny and many nieces, nephews & loved ones. Mr. Fernandez was born on July 30, 1926 in Velarde, NM to Max Fernandez Sr., and wife Terecita(Martinez) Fernandez. He attended/boarded Menaul Presbyterian school.

He joined the Navy right after he graduated from Menaul; he served in World War II. After serving our country, he attended and graduated from San Diego State. He had a life long career as an accountant.

Mr. Fernandez married his first wife Audrey Barnum; they had 3 sons together. He worked for the City of Albuquerque as one of the head accountants, during that time he met his second wife Peggy M. Fernandez. Max continued doing accounting till he was 91.

Max loved going to his family’s ranch in Peñascó, NM to fish, camp and be outdoors in the mountains. After he retired from the City of Albuquerque he still continued to work from his home office and had very long relationships with his clients. He enjoyed spending time and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

Max had a very big heart and gave so much unconditional love to those who were fortunate to meet him. He made many laugh and smile, he will be forever missed and loved. Max’s legacy will be continued by his grandchildren & great grandchildren.
