OBITUARY Maxine M Mello September 11, 1919 – January 30, 2019 Maxine M. (Voigts) Mello, 99, of East Dundee and formerly of Largo, FL, passed away January 30, 2019. She was born September 11, 1919 in Ottumwa, IA to Fred and Ethel (Edgington) Moyer. On April 11, 1942 she married Edwin “Bud” Voigts.

He preceded her in death in February 1979. She married Edward Mello in June 1983 and he preceded her in death in 2008. Maxine resided in Largo, Florida for many years before returning to Illinois in 2008 to be near family.

She is survived by her daughters, D. Sue Wells, Vallie Graff, and Christine Ackles; her grandchildren, Mike (Gail) Wells, Steve (Amanda) Wells, Sue (Dan) Siener, Casey (Sean) Tutrow, Amanda Ackles; her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Amber, Nicholas, Anna, Kaitlin, Ashley, Liam, Logan, Zoe, Emma. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bill Ackles, and her brother, Larry Moyer. The family will have a gathering at a later date.
