, she was born to the late, Alice Eva Lockridge and James Allen Farris. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. in addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by; her husband, J.B. Horton, one daughter, Eva Horton Pettus, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janelle (husband, Ken) Burch of Sikeston and Karen Horton of Sikeston, one son-in-law, Rev. L. Glenn Pettus, Phd. , two grandchildren, Phillip Burch and Amelia Patterson, both of Sikeston, and two great grandchildren, Julia and Sophia Schuerenberg, both of Sikeston, MO.
