Melinda J. Hills (nee Mangold), 63, of West Deptford, passed away on February 12, 2019. She was born in New York City and has resided in West Deptford since 1983. Melinda graduated from Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale, NJ, received her bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and her master’s degree in German Literature while studying in Austria.

She taught ESL, English as a second language in Camden and taught German at Deptford High School & Williamstown High School where her students referred to her as “Frau” retiring in 2011 and she was the Past President of Hills Associates. Melinda was an author & writer, a freelance book editor, a Temple Owl Football season ticket holder for 10 years, a cheerleader coach in Deptford High School, ROTC at Williamstown High School and she enjoyed traveling and waterskiing at Lake Wallenpaupack. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Melinda is survived by her husband William Hills; daughters Jennifer (Kris) Ciccone of Canyon Country, CA, Dawn (Chris) Delaney of Roxborough, PA and William Hills of West Deptford; grandchildren Robert Royal and Graysen & Hayden Delaney. She was predeceased by her grandson Ryan Marconi. Visitation Monday 11am until the memorial service at 1pm at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware Street Woodbury, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Almonesson United Methodist Church 1680 Almonesson Road Woodbury, NJ 08096.
