Obituary for Melissa Ann Butcher Melissa Butcher, born on October 14, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio passed away on October 8, 2018 at her home. A Celebration of Life service will take place from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the O.R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 South High St. Dear family friend Cindi Gremling officiating. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not.

Melissa married Keith Butcher from Columbus, Ohio on July 13, 1985. They shared 33 wonderful years together and had 3 children, Brittannie (William) Taylor, Jennie Butcher, and Jordan Butcher. She had one grandson, Braxton Taylor, and 2 step granddaughters, Abby and Emma Taylor.

Melissa is also survived by her sister, Kimberly (Chris) Reeves; nephew, John Reeves; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Melissa loved spending time with her family, hiking, and running. She lived every day for her family and always put them before herself.

Melissa ran in the Komen Race for the Cure and the Columbus Half Marathon. For 22 years she worked in pediatric ophthalmology and loved helping everyone. Melissa was preceded in death by her great aunt, Mary Upton, uncle, Earnest Taylor, and aunt, Beverly Taylor.
