Melissa Arden June 17, 1967 – November 23, 2017 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Melissa (Wampler) Arden, age 50 of Madisonville and formerly of Loudon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23rd, 2017. Melissa was a member of Rafter Friends Church.

She was a former employee of the Arnold and Ford Law Practice, Loudon. She loved to read and work crossword puzzles. For many years she made music with her husband in a gospel band where she was the bass player.

She adored shopping for others and spending time with her grandkids, teaching them to bake and make homemade candies. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Misty Arden, brother, Ralph Elbert Wampler, father, Ralph Wampler and step-father, Grover Schaffer. She is survived by her husband, Rick Arden; children and spouses, Ricky “Peddie” and Kasie Arden, all of Madisonville, Notasha and Brandon Watts, Philadelphia; grandchildren, Shayla, Kaleb, Lucas and Eli Arden, Mason and Makenzie Watts; mother, Betty Ruth Shaffer and brother, Tony Wampler, both of Tellico Plains.

Services honoring and remembering Melissa Arden will be held 6:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 26th McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev. Wayne Bryant and Rev.

Richard Lane officiating. Family and friends will gather 11:30 AM Monday for interment in Rafter Friends Cemetery, Tellico Plains. The family will receive friends 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, 406 Wharf St. Loudon, TN 37774.
