Obituary for Melody L. Love Gravel (Love) MELODY L. LOVE GRAVEL MASSENA- Melody L. Love Gravel, 49, of 240 Prospect Street, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Massena Memorial Hospital ER. Melody was born on June 8, 1969 in Massena, daughter of the late Raymond G. Love and Marsha S. Murray Love. She was a homemaker, who took great pride in raising her family and grandchildren, as her grandchildren were her life.
She also loved birds, Avon, and online garage sales. Melody is survived by her companion, Doug Taillon; her children, James and Cassandra Love, Gerald J. Castle, Jr. and his fiancé Jessica McMahon, and April Castle and her companion Chris Heaton, all of Massena; her grandchildren, Isaiah Love, Jayden Love, Christian Love, Emma Mae-Lynn Love, Laelah Derushia, Joseph Castle, Zachery Caskinette, Alexis Castle, and Hunter Slate; three sisters, Paula and Peter Radel of Brasher; Janice Clark and Robert Baker of Massena; and Raeann and Tom Clark, Jr., of Massena; her stepfather, Harold Mattice; her uncle, Robert Murray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond Love on April 21, 1991, and Marsha Mattice on August 11, 2016; and a baby grandson, Jordan Love in 2009.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Massena, October 13, 2018 at 11:30 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Marine Corps League on Maple Street. Donations may be made in Melody’s memory to the Massena Humane Society. Arrangements are with the Donaldson Funeral Home, where memories and condolences may be shared online at www.
