Melody Diane Davis, age 40, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Melody was born on September 9, 1978, in Granite City, IL, a daughter of Larry Potts and Sherry (Kern) Potts of Granite City, IL. Melody enjoyed working at Koh’ls Distribution Center in Pontoon Beach, IL.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially with her son, Michael, whom she adored. Melody loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Melody is survived by her loving son, Michael Davis of Granite City, IL; dear siblings, Melissa Potts of Granite City, IL, Matthew (Sarah) Potts of Troy, IL and Larry (Karen) Potts of Long Beach, MS; nephews and nieces, Zane, Lilly, Daniel, Katie and Johnathon; special friends, Eric, Danny and Ann Marie; extended family and many other friends. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.
