Obituary for Melvin Jerry Hoffman Melvin Jerry Hoffman passed away April 24, 2018 at his home in El Reno. He was born April 29, 1926 in Geary, OK to Paul and Ruth (Biswell) Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman was a Baptist minister and received his doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Melvin was a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, in which he helped liberate Dachau Concentration Camp in Southern Germany. Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Hoffman; daughter, Charlene Shults; sons-in-law, Pat Wrigley and Terry Shults; brother, Ray Hoffman; and sister, Pauline Hoffman.

Survivors include his sons, Ronald Melvin Hoffman and wife Eileen of El Reno, OK, Jerry Hoffman of CA, and Paul Hoffman from Jones, OK; daughter, Kathy Wrigley of Union City, OK; grandchildren, Ethan Hoffman, Robert Wrigley, Chris Wrigley, Michelle Wrigley, Mark Hoffman, Karen McClellen, Sarah Unaitias, and Angel Hoffman; great grandchildren, Nicole, Brianna, and Trenton Wrigley, Keegan and Griffin McClellen, and Isaac, Joseph, Jacob, Emma, Ashlyn, and Janessa Hoffman; and other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, El Reno, OK. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, El Reno, OK.
