Melvin “Larry” L. Dusenberry March 25, 1936 – February 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Melvin L. “Larry” Dusenberry, 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 18, 2019 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus. He was born on March 25, 1936 to the late Donald and Lillian (Weston) Dusenberry in Salem, OH. He was educated in the schools of Salem and graduated at Salem High School.

On October 13, 1954 he entered the US Army and was honorably discharged on July 26, 1957, serving in Korean Conflict as a member of the American Security Agency. On October 15, 1960 he married his Irish Lady Olive Graham in Oak Park, IL. Larry worked at Air Canada Airlines (where he met Olive) for several years and then moved to Mundelein, IL where they raised their family and worked at Sears Roebuck.

Larry was an amazing singer, enjoyed baseball and was excited watching his beloved Cubs finally win the World Series. He also enjoyed model trains and holiday decorating. He was a doting and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Larry is survived by his wife Olive for over 59 years, his son David (Marisa) Dusenberry of Kenosha, his daughter Bobbi (Larry) Beake of Antioch, his grandchildren Kevin, Angela, Nick, Jake, Mikaila and Will and his brother Jack Dusenberry. He is preceded in death by his brother Bob.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Larry will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church (9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd) with Full Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
