Obituary for Mercedes Richards Mercedes Richards of Largo, Florida and formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully Monday, November 26, 2018 in her home. She was 95. Mercedes was born January 6, 1923 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada; one of four beautiful daughters of the late Isaac and Lucy Richards.

Throughout her professional career, she worked as a clerical and administrative assistant in the banking industry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three sisters; Helen (2013), Mary Elizabeth (2005) and Gertrude Alice (2003). She is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend, Marita Calkins.

Immediate funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in the Palm Lawn Garden Section of Memorial Park Cemetery – St. Petersburg, Florida. Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th St. N, St. Petersubrg, FL 33709 is serving the family.
