Obituary for Merril Naquin Merril Naquin, 79, a lifelong resident of Chauvin, passed away on December 14, 2018. She was an Honorary member of St. Joseph of Chauvin Ladies Altar Society, member of Ward 7 Citizens Club. She was a homemaker, loved music, dancing, quilting and the outdoors.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Chauvin from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Chauvin, at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery – Chauvin.

She is survived by her husband – Roland Naquin, Sr.; son – Olin Soudelier, Jr.(Chastity); daughters – Cynthia “Cindy” Boudreaux(Billy), Tammy Pellegrin(Mitch), Tawny Soudelier and Chloris Caillouet(Antoine); brothers – Lindy Duplantis, Roland Boudreaux, Roy Boudoin; sisters – Juanita “Pee Wee” Duplantis, Mercedes “Ann” Perez, Julia Duplantis, Wilma Duplantis and Jackie Boudoin. 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; step-son – Rene’ Naquin(Janet); step-daughters – Gwen Loga(Darrell), Francine Miller(Jeff) and Sybil Rice(Greg); 11 step-grandchildren, 22 step-great grandchildren and 1 step great great-grandchild. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her 1st Husband, Olin Soudelier, Sr.; parents – Eunice Boudoin and Lucius Duplantis, Sr.; Adopted Parents – Harry and Venez Robichaux; brothers – Aaron Duplantis, Lucius Duplantis, Jr., Johnny Duplantis, George “Davis” Duplantis and Jimmy Robichaux; sisters – Leonise Callahan, Lois Scully, Jeanne Duplantis and Harriet Trahan. The family wants to extend many thanks to Family Doctor Clinic, Haydel Homecare Hospice, TGMC 3rd floor staff and KSI Companion Care. Online condolences can be given at www.
