Mr. Meryl Lee Fry, age 84, of Shelbyville, passed away February 24, 2019. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Mark Hall will officiate.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the funeral home. He was born June 10, 1934, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Jack and Mildred Haines.

He was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the United States Army after twenty- four years for service. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Fry, of Shelbyville; a son, David M. Fry, of Shelbyville; a daughter, Linda (Mark) Travis, of Normandy; two grandchildren, Brandie Fry Crawford and David (Heather) Fry, both of Shelbyville; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Mooningham and Harlie Crawford. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
