Rosie Bell Waters – Landers January 01, 1923 – February 03, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card ROSIE BELL WATERS LANDERS Funeral services for Rosie Bell Waters Landers, aka “Granny,” will be held at 1p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Gowen-Smith Chapel with Brother Jimmy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Clyde Waters. Visitation will be 6pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, February 6th.

and 11am to 1pm, Thursday, February 7th. Mrs. Landers died Sunday, February 3rd, after a long and hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 96.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association. A homemaker and native of Bedford County, she was the wife of Robert Clyde Waters, who died in 1964, and of Guy Landers, who died in 1978. She was the daughter of the late Rev.

Claude and Melissa Stacy. Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Arwood of Shelbyville; Deborah Varon of Tampa, Fl; and Lisa Riddle of Glasgow, Ky; sons, Ron Waters of Lynchburg, Tn; and Gary Waters of Murfreesboro, Tn. She is also survived by a sister, Maudie Brandon, and brother, Horace Stacy; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was an independent, strong and brave woman who will be sorely missed by her loved ones.
