Obituary for Michael Aaron Bolton A memorial mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler, Texas. Michael passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the age of 43. Michael was born on August 13, 1975 in Muncie, Indiana, although he lived most of his life in Tyler, Texas.

Michael was born to parents Sharon Bolton and Gerald Bolton. He is the second of three siblings, David Bolton of Tyler, Texas and Cheryl Wulf of Tyler, Texas. Michael graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1994.

Michael is survived by his mother, Sharon Bolton of Tyler; father, Gerald Bolton and his wife Deborah Bolton of Lindale; brother, David Bolton of Tyler; sister, Cheryl Wulf and husband Curtis Wulf of Tyler; nieces, Bianca and Mckenzie; nephew, Curtis Wulf Jr.; aunts, Barbara Ankrum of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Patricia Sample of Anderson, Indiana; Jeanie Foust of Kokomo, Indiana; and Karen Skinner and her husband Steve Skinner of Kokomo, Indiana; uncles, Glenn Bolton of Center, Texas and Billy Bolton of Center, Texas, as well as many cousins. Although Michael lived most of his life in Texas he remained a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. He also loved to watch the Indianapolis 500 race.

Michael dearly loved his nieces and nephews who called him Uncle Monkey and enjoyed playing games with him, which often times included Michael walking them around like robots and the kids hiding one of Uncle Mike’s favorite hats. Michael’s Aunt Karen said it best about Michael, “Michael’s song was strong, he always wanted people to be happy, but didn’t always know the way to get their smile to shine, but his compassion was evident, and his smile shined bright, trying to coax your smile to shine too…Rest In Peace, in the arms of your Heavenly Father. You are deeply loved and deeply missed”.

A lunch graciously provided by the Tyler Cathedral Woman’s Altar Society will follow the memorial mass at the Cathedral Center.
