Obituary for Michael Aubrey Kennedy Michael Aubrey Kennedy passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Lebanon, Tennessee. Mike was born Saturday, August 1, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas to Jerry Albert Kennedy and Coletta Kay Cox Kennedy. Mike was the long time drummer of George Strait and The Ace In The Hole Band.
He considered The Ace In The Hole Band and George’s crew his brothers and sisters Mike started playing drums at a very young age of 7, he played with his father’s bands. His talents led him to play with such well know artists as Barbara Fairchild, Ricky Skaggs and so many wonderful musicians throughout the years. Mike did so many things for people, and no one realizes the miles he has traveled to help out friends and family.
He was truly a wonderful person and loved by so many. Our hearts will never be the same after the loss of our sweet Mike. He was preceded in death by: his infant daughter; grandparents, James A. and Bernice Cox; special brother, Randy Reinhard.
Mike is survived by: his loving wife, Margaret Kennedy; sons, Michael Tyler Kennedy of Whitehouse, Tennessee, Logan Christopher Kennedy and wife Audrey of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Andrew Osten Kennedy and wife Lydia of Hendersonville, Tennessee; daughters, Taylor Roberts and Madison Roberts of Cookeville, Tennessee, goddaughter, Robyn Reinhard of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Marlee Tate Kennedy, Keonna Davis, Kiera Davis, Mya Davis, Camden Levi Kennedy, Jerry Alexander Kennedy, and Kayleen Alyse Sommers; parents, Jerry and Kay Kennedy of Helotes, Texas; sister, Cheryl Perez and her husband Mario of San Antonio, Texas; special aunt, Molly Byrd of Lebanon, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Molly Janie Hughes of Cookeville, Tennessee; extended grandchildren, Kaylee Aubrey McClard; nieces Michelle Barrett, of San Antonio, Texas, and Stephanie Perez of San Antonio, Texas; nephews James Linder of San Antonio, Texas, Michael Barrett of San Antonio, Texas, and Mario C. Perez of Frisco, Texas; a host of extended family and friends to numerous to name. Service Visitation will begin Friday, September 7, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. followed by a Service at 7:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive.
