Obituary for Joanie Nolan Alice “Joanie” Nolan went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2018, at the age of 83, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on January 17, 1935 in Fort Worth, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Nolan, parents Claud and Willie Henry, sons Brett Alan Harrison and Benjamin Harrison, sister Julia Cross and son-in-law Bill Moran.

Joanie is survived by her loving children, Julie Moran and Roger Mull; 2 grandchildren, Charles G. Cahoon, III, and Chelsea N. Cahoon, as well as extended family members and friends. Joanie was a graduate from Jefferson High School and was a proud member of the Jeffersonette Choir. Upon graduating high school, she worked at USAA and trained as a computer programmer.

She then continued her career at H.B. Zachary and later retired in 1985. Joanie was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and participated in the church choir for 25 years. A loving and kind mother, grandmother and friend will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Service will be Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Park South. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
