Michael Donald Ciollaro, 60, of Ashley Street, passed away Tuesday, April 30th at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on June 26th, 1958 to the late Stephen and Joyce (Gosselin) Ciollaro. He lived most of his life in West Springfield and was a 1976 graduate of West Springfield High School.

Michael worked in shipping and receiving for over 20 yrs. at Sam Salem Furniture Company in West Springfield. He later continued in that field for Home Depot and later retired as manager from Chemex in Chicopee.

He was the loving father of Christine M. Ciollaro of West Springfield, and Anthony M. Ciollaro Sr. also of West Springfield, devoted grandfather of Elizabeth Rose Ciollaro and Anthony M. Ciollaro Jr, and caring brother of Laura Murphy and her husband Tim of FL, Joseph Ciollaro of Easthampton and Joanna McConkey and her husband Alan of West Springfield. Michael also leaves several nieces and nephews. His kind soul will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be calling hours Wednesday, May 8th from 4pm-7pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. There will be a Celebration of life Saturday, May 11th, from 11 AM – 4 PM at the American Legion, 83 Park Avenue, West Springfield. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
