Michael’s Obituary Michael E. Rathbone August 6, 1942 – February 8, 2019, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Former partner in The Backwoods Equipment Co., retired commercial real estate agent and commercial property owner, avid outdoorsman, long-time sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous, great dad and a very nice man. Born in Wichita to Jack and Jerry Rathbone.

Preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Jared. Survivors: wife, Lynda Porter Rathbone; children, Joey Rathbone, Molly (Peter) Maxwell, Susanna (Mike) Jones; grandchildren, Quin Maxwell, Ellie Jones; sister, Kay (Monte) Johnson of Lawrence, KS. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, February 15, 2019, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.

Memorials have been established with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. , Memphis, TN 38105; and Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
