Michael James LeFever, 70, of Camillus, passed away Friday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse to the late Edward and Helen (VanDenberg) LeFever in 1948. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

He worked for the DPW in N. Syracuse as a plow truck driver and other capacities for 8 years. He worked in the body shop painting cars for Carbone Pontiac in Syracuse for nearly 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Mary Atkinson,3 children; Kimberly (Thomas) Foody, of Tipperary Hill, Tammy (Robbie) Sherrill, of Camillus and Brian LeFever, of Camillus, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister; Patricia Carson, brothers; David, Steven and Charles LeFever and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Patrick’s and St. Brigid’s Church, 216 N. Lowell Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
