Mike was born on December 5th, 1960 and passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2019 with family by his side. He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Joan Ingenthron, his father, Robert Bernard Ingenthron, his twin brother Matthew John Ingenthron and eldest brother Robert Blake Ingenthron. He is survived by his wife Mary Ingenthron and daughter Coco, his brothers Kurt Ingenthron, Eric Ingenthron, Doug Ingenthron and wife Rosalyn.

He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews. Mike graduated from the University of Houston in 1983 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Mike’s charismatic personality combined with his advanced engineer knowledge made him a unique electrical engineer.

His expertise was within the CAD/CAM CIM integration field of Aerospace with over 35 years of engineering experience. His initial job out of college was with Lockheed at Johnson Space Center in Houston. He later moved to Georgia to work for IBM; however, Lockheed Martin Aerospace in Marietta Georgia was where he spent the remainder of his career.

Mike was the prime engineer on the development of an in-house design graphic CAD/CAM CIM integration tool for the F22 program. This tool is still in use today and on all Airlift programs. His last endeavor was the C5 AMP modification program.

He was known as a genius with a personal touch. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 2016. Mike embodied the word kindness.

He was a kind, loving, generous and humorous man. His motto was “LIFE IS GOOD! ” Life was always good when Mike was around.

He is now at peace. The family will receive visitors Monday, June 3, 2019 from 2 to 4pm at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060. Donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, stjude.org.
