Michael Scott Winchester, 55, of Avis, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. Born January 24, 1963 in Jersey Shore, he was a son to Scott Winchester and the former Mary Lee Frye. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Edward David; and a brother, Patrick Winchester.

Mike was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a devoted father and was loved by all. He worked as a cook at the American Rescue Workers in Williamsport.

Surviving in addition to his mother are three children, Steven Winchester, Amanda (Joseph) Sewalk and Lindsay Winchester; and his siblings, Angela (Joseph) Pedokus, Traci (Joseph) Bletz, Shane (Lynn) Winchester and Reese Winchester. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
