Charles J. Miller Jr., 89, of Jersey Shore, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Born March 30, 1929, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son to the late Charles J. Miller Sr. and the former Margaret Hager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James B. Miller.

Charles lived in Lock Haven for many years and where he also graduated high school. He then went on to broadcasting school. He worked at Piper Aircraft for 24 years, then was the Administrator of Jersey Shore ManorCare for 17 years.

He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. For many years, Charles was a member of the Jersey Shore Lions Club, the Church of Saint Luke in Jersey Shore and also was a member of the Jersey Shore American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, especially with his wife, Jane, to their favorite place, Disney World.

Surviving is his loving wife, the former Jane K. Bubb, they were united in marriage on Sept. 13, 1952, at the Antes Fort United Methodist Church. Also surviving is his daughter, Robin C. Miller, of Summerville, S.C. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday morning at Welker Funeral Home. Father Bert Kozen will officiate. Following the service at the funeral home, full military honors will be conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
