He worked at W&W Steel for more than 20 years, and retired in October 2018. He spent his free time playing golf, watching various sports, and bar-b-quing. Mike also loved watching old western movies and reading.

Mike is survived by his mother Peggy Summers and husband Ray; sons, Randal Christopher and wife Jennifer, and Robbie Christopher and wife Amber; sister, LaJuan Slaton; grandchildren Landon Christopher, Luke Christopher, and Hailey Garster; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
