She was born on November 19, 1937 to her late parents, Chester and Pearlar Langford. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Floyd Langford, Ramsey Langford, JC Langford and Bill Langford; and sisters, Jewel Palmer, Eunice Johnson and Lera Adams.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James R. Parrish; son, James “Steve” Parrish & wife, Nancy of Stafford, VA; daughter, Marian Allday & husband, Greg of Manning, SC; grandchildren, Heather Parrish Johns & husband, Chris of Bloomsburg, PA; Grant S. Parrish & wife, Jennifer of Bridgewater, VA; Matthew G. Allday of Manning, SC; and Andrew C. Allday of Columbia, SC; and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Opp. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 17, 2019 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Adellum Baptist Church Cemetery in Andalusia, AL.

Rev. Tommy Green will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at Wyatt Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Embrace Hospice, 207A N Washington Street, Sumter, SC 29150 or the Alzheimer’s Association at www. alz.org The family would like to express their appreciation to personal care giver Tyson Robinson and the nurses and staff of Embrace Hospice for their professional and compassionate care.
