Obituary Service Details Mildred L. Johnson- Funeral service celebrating the life of Mildred Lee Johnson will be held on Thursday at 11 am. , on Thursday September 22, 2016, at St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church, for Mrs. Mildred Lee Johnson, 73, Youngstown, who departed this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born January 16, 1943, in Camilla Georgia, a daughter of the late Rev.

Lawyer and Thelma Hicks Hunter. Mrs. Johnson graduated from The Rayen High School in 1961. Mrs. Johnson retired from Blue Cross, Blue Shield Company, Mrs. Johnson also work for the Youngstown Board of Education and the Youngstown Hearing and Speech.

Mrs. Johnson also lived in Hawaii and New York. She was a member of St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church, and was the church secretary, and the Steward Board, and active member of Local and North Ohioan Conference Lay Organization, The Women Missionary Society, was a Director of North Ohio Conference Youth Choir for many years, and was the director of various choirs of St.Andrewes A.M. E. Church. Mrs. Johnson belonged to many musical groups choirs in the Youngstown, Warren Community Area of all denominations.

She leaves to cherish her memory nephews; Brian (Valencia) Marrow of Youngstown, Duane (Pam) Marrow of Austintown, Vincent (Dr. Monique) Marrow of Lexington, Kentucky, and Raymond Marrow of Youngstown, Ohio, nieces; Freida Marrow Hicks of Youngstown, and Thelma Marrow of Lexington, Kentucky, stepson; Willie Johnson Jr., of Youngstown, Step daughter; Lillie White of Columbus, and a host of other great nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Johnson, her parents, and a sister Margaret Marrow. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 am at the church.

Services start at 11 am and burial will be at Belmont Park Cemetery. Comfort Service provided by the Murray-Wellington Funeral Home of Alliance, Ohio.
