Mildred Louise “Granny” Branch, age 92 of Sanford, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC. “Granny” was born on September 20, 1925 in Lee County, NC to the late John R. Hart and Lillian Shirley Hart. She will always be remembered for always putting God as #1 in her life, then her family and grandchildren which she loved very much.

“Granny” loved reading her Bible, sitting on her front porch and cooking. … Read More » She also loved flowers. She is survived by her children: Charles Branch and wife Ann; Bobby Branch and wife Wanda; Dianne Stone and husband Phil; and Esther Smith and husband Tommy all of Sanford, NC.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Branch and her daughter, Verna Stone. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Cumnock Baptist Church in Sanford with Rev.

Ken Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow at Branch Family Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford and at other times at the family home at 777 Forestwood Park Road, Sanford, NC.
