OBITUARY Mildred Poitras October 17, 1928 – October 21, 2018 Mildred “Millie” (Gryss) Poitras, age 90, passed away October 21, 2018 at Alden Court Nursing Home. She was the former wife of the late Marcel Poitras. Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Pryzstas) Gryss.

Mildred graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School and enjoyed being a homemaker. She enjoyed going to yard sales, watching the Celtics and spending time with her family. She is survived by a son David Poitras and his wife Susan of New Bedford, a daughter Deborah Poitras of New Bedford, a son Brian Poitras of Falmouth and a son Bruce Poitras and his companion Kellie Randall of Acushnet, four grandchildren; Brian, Brittany, Adam, Scott, 3 great grandchildren, a sister Wanda “Nancy” Williams and her husband Joe and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister Dolly Sylvia. Her visitation will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 4-6 pm at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd. , New Bedford.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave. , New Bedford. Burial is private.
