Mildred Watkins Jones, 96, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019. She was born February 2, 1922 in Wake County to the late Luther Watkins and Ruth Horton Watkins. Mildred retired after 35 years of service as an accountant with Durham Life Insurance Company.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church for over 50 years. Funeral service 2:00 pm, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Temple Baptist Church, 1417 Clifton St, Raleigh, 27604. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at the church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Wallace Jones and her siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church.
