OBITUARY Milton “Milt” Henken September 1, 1928 – November 20, 2018 S.DENNIS- Milton L. “Milt” Henken, 90, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Sara G. Henken with whom he celebrated 61 loving years of marriage. Born in Haverhill on September 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Ethel and Morris Henken.

Milt proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he worked in sales. He was a manufacturer’s rep for more than 30 years.

In his spare time, Milt enjoyed playing bridge, exploring Cape Cod, and traveling. He was active in the Dennis-Yarmouth Newcomer Club on Cape Cod. In addition to his wife, Milt is survived and will be deeply missed by his three children, his son Peter Henken and his wife Rosa; his daughters Amy and Sue Henken; two grandchildren, Jessica and Zachary; a sister, Estelle Kaufman; and a brother and sister in law, Gene and Kathy Achter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Milt was predeceased by his sister, Gloria Greenberg. His funeral service will take place on Friday, November 23rd at 12 p.m. at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis.

Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Rt. 134, South Dennis. A reception will be held at the family home following the burial.
